Our History

Classic Inlines (Ford Six Performance Parts) was founded in late 2002. At that time, our product line was limited to dual roller chains, Pacemaker headers, used OZ250-2V heads, high capacity oil pans, roller tipped and full roller rocker assemblies. Not only were these parts difficult (if not impossible) to purchase else-where in the USA, the only company that sold these items grossly over-charged their customers, knowing they had little or no competition. Since that time we have expanded our product line to include over 100 parts dedicated solely to the small sixes, making us one of the largest suppliers of IN STOCK inline six performance parts in the USA, possibly the world.

In 2007, we changed our name from Ford Six Performance Parts, to Classic Inlines. We did this for two reasons, the first being in response to the legal actions proposed by the Ford Motor Company. In the spring of 2006, Ford sent letters out to numerous companies demanding that they stop using any and all Ford trade names within their own business names, or face legal action and stiff penalties for violating copyright law. Agitating millions of loyal Ford fans, we hoped they would see the error of their decision and wisely give up the idea of suing the companies that have supported, and promoted, the Ford name for many years. Unfortunately that did not happened. So instead of sitting around waiting for Ford to knock on our door, we decided to change our name to Classic Inlines.

The second reason for the name change, and equally as important, is the fact that we eventually plan to expand our product line. Someday we hope to include performance products for all inline sixes, rather than those manufactured solely by Ford Motor Company. As such the Ford Six Performance name would no longer be suitable. Since a name change would be inevitable at that point in time, economic reasoning seemed to dictate an immediate change, rather than to continue promoting the old name. Therefore Classic Inlines was adopted as the new company name.

Many of our suppliers are well known in the V8 world, but most of these suppliers never got around to developing or manufacturing products for the inline six simply because the inline six was never considered a performance motor, and because these companies believed the demand for inline performance products was nonexistent. However through the relentless efforts of Classic Inlines, some of these companies now make products for our beloved sixes. Not only was this recently acknowledged in Mustang Monthly and Mustangs & Fords magazine, we are also seeing an increase in inline six tech articles and featured cars in these magazines.

Our Research and Development program is continually striving to produce new products to add to our product line, and we will continue to do so as long as we have the required customer support (sales). Items such as alloy valve covers and air cleaners, billet dress up parts, carb adaptors, ignition products, headers and exhaust kits, turbo and supercharger kits, fuel injection kits, and so on. Eventually we hope to open our own machine shop, which will give us the capability to develop and manufacturing a full line of performance parts. This would also give us the space needed to offer cylinder head service and an in house crate engine program, which we believe would be very successful. However... it all depends on sales and customer support.

We thank you for your continued support.
