CAUTION: Do not machine the valve spring pockets deeper to increase the valve spring installed height, as this may result in small cracks and/or holes in the intake runners. While it may or may not be visible to the naked eye, it will result in excessive oil being sucked into the combustion chambers, thus fouling out the spark plugs and soaking the entire exhaust system in a bath of oil, including the mufflers. See circled area above.
