A core charge is a deposit for an exchange of the item purchased. All Classic Inline rocker assemblies include a $25 (non-adjustable) or $50 (adjustable) refundable core charge in the purchase price. While we prefer that the old cores are returned in the box that the new rockers came in, it is not required. You may also want to purchase shipping insurance when you ship the return core, but that is up to your discretion.

We also purchase old cores, even if you didn't buy a rocker assembly from us. The outright purchase price is $20 for non-adjustable and $45 for adjustable. You can also send in extra cores if you like. The outright purchase price will apply to any additional cores that are shipped to us.

Make sure you include a note with your name, address, phone number, and email address, so we know who sending the core. We can't pay you for the core(s) if we don't know who you are. Please include your order number as well, if applicable.

The core is only refundable if:

1. The core is rebuildable.  A rebuildable rocker arm core must be free from damage, with the exception of broken rocker arms, in which case a partial credit may be available if the shaft and/or pedestals are still usable. Classic Inlines has the final judge on core condition.

2. The core need not be the same.  The rocker arm core being returned to Classic Inlines may be a different style than the rocker assembly purchased, however the amount of the refund will be reduced accordingly. For example, if you return a non-adjustable rocker assembly, even though you purchased an adjustable assembly, the core refund will be reduced to $25 dollars (core charge for non-adjustable rockers), rather than $75 dollars.

3. The core must be returned with the proper information.  Cores returned with out paperwork are not eligible for a core refund. Make sure you include your name, address, phone (with area code) and original method of payment. The core refund will be issued in the same matter in which you originally paid for the rocker assembly, and it will only be refunded to the original purchaser.

4. The core must be returned within 60 days, from the original date of purchase to receive a full refund of the core charge. A 10% fee will be deducted from the refund if the core is received later than sixty days from the original date of purchase. No exceptions.
