Aluminum Head Package

This package includes everything you'll need to install our aluminum cylinder head on your short block.  

Includes:
Assembled aluminum cylinder head (single springs with damper, retainers, and viton seals), alloy intake manifold, carb adaptor, and your choice of a Felpro or Corteco cylinder head gasket. Also includes stainless steel bolts and studs for installing the manifold and optional carb.

Optional: ARP stud kits, dual valve springs, port work (see notes), and/or a Weber 38/38 DGV carburetor (see notes below).

Fits: 200/250ci Ford 6-cyl. (our cylinder head will fit a 144/170ci, however we recommend upgrading to a 200/250ci whenever possible). 

 NOTES
C/R: You must verify the compression ratio prior to engine assembly. Re-sizing the combustion chambers and/or surface milling may be required to achive the desired C/R. The assembled cylinder head comes with 50cc combustion chambers, plus or minus 1cc.

Studs: The head bolts, or studs, on the intake side of the cylinder head need to be approximately one inch longer (the stock head bolts are to short). As such, we offer two kits. Kit "A" includes 7 standard length studs and seven longer studs, as well as the washers and nuts. Kit "B", is for those who are already using studs, as it only includes the seven longer studs. As such, you'll re-use seven of the shorter studs as well as your existing washers and nuts. 

Springs: The assembled head comes standard with single springs and dampers, retainers, and .530 viton valve seals. Or you can upgrade to dual springs for an additional $70 dollars, This covers the extra cost of the dual springs, machining the spring seats for dual springs, and turning down the valve guides for the smaller .500 Viton seals.

Carb Adaptors: Your choice - Weber 2V, Holley/Autolite 2V, or Holley/Autolite 4V.

Carburetor: If you order the optional Weber 38/38 DGV carb, we'll include a Weber fuel pressure regulator, 1/4" spacer/insulator, carb gaskets, and a universal linkage kit. We also stock several air cleaners for the Weber carbs, however they are not included in the price.

Rocker Assembly: We stock 1.5 and 1.6 ratio rocker assemblies, however they are not included in the price. We recommend the high ratio rockers for more bottom end horsepower and torque. Dyno testing showed gains of 10-20 HP when using the 1.6 high ratio rockers, over the stock 1.5 ratio rockers.

Hardware: Includes 8 stainless steel self-locking hex washer head manifold bolts, 4 stainless steel Allen cap screws for mounting the adaptor, and 4 stainless steel carb studs. The ARP head studs are optional, but highly recommended.

Head Gaskets: The Felpro gaskets have a crush thickness of .050, while the Corteco gaskets have a crush thickness of .053. Remember to calculate your compression ratio accordingly.

Delivery: Please allow at least 6-8 weeks for delivery. It may take longer, depnding on how many cylinder heads are sold during the sale.
