Our "Carb Swap" Kit comes with a carb adaptor
, a fuel pressure regulator or an electric fuel pump,  universal linkage kit, and a Weber two barrel carb with a manual choke (electric or hot water choke optional). Air cleaners sold separately. See DETAILS for more information. 

Note: No modifications are required to the log manifold, you just need to verify the size of the manifold before you order. The small log manifold has a 1.5" carb bore (hole), while the large log manifold has a 1.75" carb bore.
Note: You can use your stock fuel pump with a fuel pressure regulator, or an electric fuel pump (see options). If you use the AirTex Electric Fuel Pump, you do not need a fuel pressure regulator. A stainless steel Fuel Pump Block-off Plate is optional.
Note: In most cases you'll need to replace your stock distributor with an aftermarket distributor, such as a Duraspark II or DUI distributor and/or ignition kit. Please reaad our tech articles on Ignition System Choices and Load-O-Matic Distributors for more information.
Note: Modifications to the carb linkage are required. Some guys modify their existing linkage, while others install a throttle cable. These can be purchased new from Lokar, or you can adapt a used pedal and cable from a bone yard donor car, such as a Maverick or Granada.
Note: Occasionally the carb will work fine out of the box, however in most cases you'll need to rejet the carb to get the best performance. Please see our tech article on Adjustments & Tuning for more information.
NOTE: Failure to purge the gas line and/or installing a new fuel filter will void the warranty.

The "Conversion" kit comes with our conversion adaptor, a 1/4" spacer, a fuel pressure regulator or an electric fuel pump, universal linkage kit, and a  Weber 2V carb with a manual choke (electric or hot water choke optional). Air cleaners sold separately. See DETAILS for more information. 

Note: This adaptor requires
modifications to the log manifold, thereby requiring the removal of the cylinder head for machine work (see details).

Details 

Perfect for stock or mild performance engines, the Weber 32/36 DGV carb is a progressive down-draft carburetor with counter-clockwise rotation. As a progressive carb it operates as a one barrel most of the time, with the second barrel only opening when more power is needed, or under wide open throttle. While it comes with a manual choke, electric and hot water chokes are available (see options). The DGV offers increased performance, trouble-free maintenance, excellent drivability, and in most cases, improved fuel economy. See Details for more information.

Perfect for mild performance engines, the Weber 38 DGS carb is a syncronous (both barrels open at the same time) down-draft carburetor with counter-clockwise operation. While it comes with an electric choke, a manual choke is available (special order). The 38/38 DGS offers increased performance, trouble free maintenence, excellent driveability, and in most cases, improved fuel economy. See Details for more information.

AirTex Electric Fuel Pump

Details 

This universal rotary style, high volume, low pressure,  electric fuel pump has an internal fuel pressure regulator valve. As such, an external  fuel pressure regulator should not be used with this pump. This pump has no points to burn out, no shaft seals to leak, and they are easy to install. Includes complete installation package and instructions. Our stainless steel Fuel Pump Block-off Plate is optional.
